Medusa Head Spurge

Plant a dwarf succulent herb. Stems pale green; main stem globose, up to 20 cm wide, with numerous crowded branches radiating from sides; side branches more or less cylindrical, 5-37 cm long (shorter towards plant centre), 1.7-2.5 cm wide. Stipular spines absent. Leaves linear, 3-5 mm long, 0.7-1 mm wide, soon shed. Cyathophylls not showy, much reduced.
