Yellow Tulip

Shrub or small tree to 12 m high. Leaf blade elliptic, elliptic-lanceolate, ellipticovate, more or less orbicular or oblong, 8-150 mm long, 6-60 mm wide; margins entire or slightly wavy; tip acute, rounded, obtuse, rarely shortly acuminate; base wedge-shaped, rounded or abruptly narrowed. Fruits ellipsoid 10-25 mm long, 7-15 mm wide. Syn. D. lasiogyna F. Muell., D. australasica (Müll. Arg.) Pax and K. Hoffm.
