Panicled Dogwood

Deciduous shrub 4-5 m tall. Leaves ovate to lanceolate, 5-10 cm long, tip longpointed, lower surface pale blue, hairy at first, vein pairs 3-4, turning rich red and claret in autumn. Flowers white, in rounded branched clusters about 6 cm wide; summer. Fruit white, 5-7 mm wide, slightly compressed. Syn. C. foemina Mill. subsp. racemosa (Lam.) Wils.
