Creeping Dogwood

Perennial herb to about 20 cm tall. Leaves to about 5 cm long, entire, elliptic to obovate in whorls of 4-6 with 1-2 pairs of foliage leaves below, more or less hairless below, vein pairs 2-3. Flowers in green, yellow or violet clusters; summer. Bracts 4, 1-2 cm long. Fruits 6-9 mm wide, red, spherical.
