Cape Bushwillow

Tree to about 10 m tall. Bark greyish to pale brown. Leaves opposite or almost so, narrowly elliptic, 5-10 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide. Leaf stalk 5-8 mm long. Flowers axillary, greenish yellow, in short heads 1.5 cm wide. Fruit reddish, 1.5 cm long with 4 wings.

S Africa

Grows naturally along the coast of the E Cape of S Africa in damp areas and along watercourses.
