Turpentine

Tall trees to over 30 m. Bark fibrous, stringy and furrowed. Leaves in pairs, often appearing to be in 4s, ovate to narrowly ovate, 6-10 cm long, 2-4 cm wide, whitehairy below. Flowers 6-10, fused into a head; spring to early summer. Petals 3 mm long, hairy, white. Fruiting heads 1-2 cm wide.
