Tree or shrub to 10 m or so tall. Leaves decussate, ovate, 5-10 mm long, 5-7 mm broad, pointed, nerves 5-7, glands below, cordate or truncate at the base. Flowers mostly in terminal clusters, cream to yellow; late spring to summer. Stamens 7-12, white, base about 1 mm long, free part of filaments 5-6 mm long. Fruit capsule wrinkled, 3-4 mm long.
