Melaleuca gibbosa Labill.

Slender Honey-myrtle

Shrub to 3 m tall. Leaves decussate, ovate to obovate, 2-6 mm long, 1-4 mm wide, blunt, gland-dotted and distinctly 3-nerved on both surfaces, stalkless. Flowers mostly at the base of lateral leafy stems; late spring and summer. Stamens 15-20 per bundle, pink to purple, base about 0.5 mm long, free portion 2.5-5 mm long. Fruit capsule about 4 mm wide, eventually sunken in the swollen leafy stem.
