Melaleuca conothamnoides C.A.Gardner

Shrub to 2 m tall with branchlets slightly zig-zagged. Leaves alternate, fringed at first, to 4 cm long, 1 cm wide, oblong to slightly oblanceolate, leathery, often waxy-blue, 3-5-nerved and gland-dotted. Flower heads roundish, to 4 cm wide; spring. Flowers mauve to pinkish purple or magenta with prominent yellow anthers. Fruit capsules united into clusters.
