Lemon-scented Tea-tree

Shrub or small tree to 5 m tall, new growth red or purple. Leaves narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, 2-4 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, smelling strongly of lemon when crushed. Flowers 1-1.5 cm wide; summer. Petals white. Ovary 5-chambered. Fruit 6 mm wide, persistent.Syn. L. citratum Challinor, Cheel & Penfold.
