Mallee to about 3 m tall. Bark brown, grey or white. Juvenile leaves and adult leaves identical, opposite, broadly elliptic, pointed, thick; blade mostly 8-15 cm long, 3-7 cm wide, waxy-white or green. Leaf stalk 1-2 cm long, continuous with stem. Flowers creamy white, in 3s, common stalk flattened or angled, mostly 0.5-1 cm long; Nov-Jan. Fruits 12-18 mm long and wide, waxy-white.

Grows naturally mostly on sandy heathland soil from Stirling Ranges to Israelite Bay.
