Steedman's Gum

Tree to 10 m or so tall. Bark brown. Juvenile leaves broadly ovate or lanceolate. Adult leaves narrow; blade mostly 4-7 cm long, mostly 1 cm wide, green, glossy. Leaf stalk flattened. Flowers in 3s, common stalk angled, 2-3 cm long, individual stalks mostly 1-2 cm long. Flower buds and fruits 4-winged, the latter mostly 1-2 cm long,1-1.5 cm wide with the valves protruding.

Grows naturally in woodland SW of Lake Cronin. Grown along highways of W and N parts of Vic.
