Eucalyptus scoparia Maiden

Wallangarra White Gum

Tree to mostly 10 m tall. Bark powdery white or grey throughout. Juvenile leaves more or less opposite, stalked, elliptic. Adult leaves narrow-lanceolate to linear; blade mostly 10-15 cm long, 0.5-1 cm wide. Leaf stalk 8-12 mm long. Flowers white, in 7s; common stalk 4-8 mm long, individual flower stalks to 4 mm long; Nov-Dec. Fruits 4-5 mm long and wide.

Grows naturally on Mt Norman and Castle Rock in SE Qld, on granite or in open woodland.

Powdery bark, narrow leaves and small fruits. Similar to E. mannifera but with leaves shining green, less than 1 cm wide and with venation obscure.
