Bell-fruited Mallee

Mallee mostly 2 m tall. Bark grey. Juvenile leaves opposite, stalkless, ovate to elliptic. Adult leaves more or less opposite, ovate to elliptic; blade thick,mostly 8-12 cm long, 3-5 cm wide, light green, dull. Leaf stalk flattened, 1-3 cm long. Flowers yellow, in 3s, common stalk flattened,1-2.5 cm long; June-Nov. Fruits mostly 2-2.5 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide.

Grows naturally in coastal sandplains of southern SW WA.
