Griffiths' Grey Gum

Tree or mallee to mostly 5 m tall. Bark mostly red-brown but occasionally pale grey. Juvenile leaves lanceolate. Adult leaves lanceolate; blade 10-13 cm long, 1-2.5 cm wide, green, glossy. Leaf stalk mostly 1-2 cm long. Flowers in 3s; common stalk angular or flattened, mostly 1-1.5 cm long, individual stalks mostly 0.5-1 cm long. Fruits mostly 1-1.5 cm long, 9-15 mm wide, 2-ribbed.

Grows naturally mostly between Kalgoorlie and Norseman on salty loams or gravels or occasionally on rocky slopes. Quite commonly planted in NW Vic.
