Mallee to mostly 5 m tall. Bark grey to pale brown. Juvenile leaves opposite or alternate, sometimes stalked. Adult leaves lanceolate, thick; blade mostly 6-10 cm long,1-2 cm wide, blue-green,more or less glossy. Leaf stalk 1-2 cm long, grooved. Flowers in clusters of 7-11, bud scar absent, common stalk angular or flattened, mostly 6-12 mm long, individual stalks 2-4 mm long. Fruits 8-12 mm long, 1-1.5 cm wide.
Grown in parks and along highways.
