Medium erect shrub. Leaves crowded, spreading, cylindrical, to about 2.5 cm long, 1 mm wide, usually with scattered hairs. Flower cluster a 1-sided spike. Flowers 5- parted. Stamens red. Fruit capsule 8-10 mm long.
