Shrub to 2 m tall, hairless. Leaves opposite, narrowly elliptic, 2.5-3.5 cm long, 3-5 mm wide. Flower cluster bracts 4-6, often reddish, mostly 3-6 cm wide. Flowers pale pink or white, hairy outside; spring.
