Shrub or small tree. Leaves linear to narrowly oblanceolate, 5-15 cm long, 0.5-1.5 cm wide. Flower head 10-16 cm long, 7-9 cm wide; spring to summer. Bracts white, deep red or pink at the tip, sticky, cf. P. neriifolia.
