White Sugarbush

Shrub or small tree to 4 m tall. Leaves mostly ovate, 3.5-8.5 cm long, 2-4.5 cm wide, waxy-blue at first, stalkless. Flower heads cylindrical as buds, about 5 cm wide, opening to about 9 cm wide; summer to autumn. Bracts whitish, deep pink to brown at the tips, spreading widely when the flower opens.
