Bearded Protea

Erect or sprawling shrub to 2 m tall. Leaves variable, 10-20 cm long, 3-6 cm wide, extremely leathery, waxy-blue when mature, stalks if present very short, margins wavy and with the midrib sometimes reddened. Flower cluster obovoid, 10-14 cm long, 5-8 cm wide; spring to summer. Bracts in many series, pinkish with a white fringe.

Variably shaped, waxy-blue, wavy-edged leaves.
