Peach Protea

Shrub to 2 m tall with a single stem. Leaves oval to obovate, 8-13 cm long, 3-8 cm wide, leathery, stalkless, often with reddened margins. Flower clusters oblong to goblet-shaped, 10-14 cm long, 6-8 cm wide; summer. Bracts pink, the inner ones incurved at the tip with a beard of white and/or purplish hair.

S Africa (Cape).

Leaves with reddened margins; inner bracts spoon-shaped with white and/or purple fringe.
