Shrub to 3 m tall. Leaves stiff, 5-10 cm long, divided into many wide-spreading, sharply pointed segments. Flower clusters ovoid, terminal and solitary, occasionally 3 at the tip of the branchlet, 2-2.5 cm long. Flowers to about 1.5 cm long, creamyellow and covered with silky hair; almost year round. Fruiting cones ovoid, to 3.5 cm long.
