Shrub to 1.5 m tall. Leaves crowded, 1.5-3.5 cm long, divided pinnately 2-3 times, the lowermost divisions further divided, tips often sharply pointed. Flower clusters ovoid, about 1 cm wide, terminal or axillary. Flowers about 1.5 cm long, yellow to greyish pinkish mauve and silky-hairy; winter to spring. Flowering cones roundish, about 1 cm long.
