Erect or spreading shrub to 1.5 m tall. Leaves alternate or opposite, ovate to elliptic and lanceolate, mostly 5-12 cm long, 1-3 cm wide with a point at the tip, distinctly paler on the lower surface. Flower cluster axillary or terminal; late spring and summer.
