Furze Hakea

Erect shrub to 4 m or more tall. Leaves narrowly linear, to 15 cm or more long, 4 mm wide, hairless, wide-spread, twisted at the base, with 1-3 prominent longitudinal veins. Flower clusters of 6-18 flowers. Flowers creamy white, hairless; late winter to early spring. Fruit ovoid,1.5-2.5 cm long, with a short beak.

H. repullulans differs in being lignotuberous and in having shorter leaves with distinctly twisted petioles.
