Hakea purpurea Hook.

Shrub to 3 m tall. Leaves cylindrical, either entire or each divided into 2-4 pointed hairless segments about 1.5 mm wide. Flower clusters axillary. Flowers reddish purple, hairless with style 2-3 cm long; spring. Fruit ovoid, 3-4 cm long, not or hardly beaked.
