Sea Urchin Hakea

Shrub or small tree to 5 m tall. Leaves grey-blue, elliptic to almost round, mostly to 12 cm long and 6 cm wide, long-pointed with 3-5 prominent longitudinal veins. Flower clusters axillary with numerous flowers. Flowers greenish to cream, pinkish to red in the centre, hairless; mostly autumn. Fruit mostly 2-3.5 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, rough with a short point.

Rather similar to H. elliptica but with distinctly stalked leaves.
