Barren Range Hakea

Medium shrub to about 5 m tall. Leaves to 10 cm long and 2 cm wide, oblanceolate with a long-tapering base, leathery with faint longitudinal veins and a blunt tip. Flower clusters small, brownish, at the base of the leaves, fragrant; summer. Flowers with rusty red hair, the style strongly curved at the tip. Fruit to about 5 cm long, with a prominent beak.
