Sweet-scented Hakea

Shrub to 5 m or so tall. Leaves to 10 cm or more long, simple or more frequently divided pinnately into cylindrical or flat, sharp-pointed segments. Flower clusters in heads, showy, pinkish to white, fragrant; autumn and winter. Flowers and style about 3 mm long. Fruit to 2.5 cm long, smooth or rough, with 2 short horns. Syn. H. suaveolens R. Br.

Used widely for screening.
