Shrub to 6 m or so tall. Leaves cylindrical, to over 10 cm long,1.5 mm wide, hairless, stiff, the tip with a point about 2 mm long. Flower clusters axillary with 6-8 flowers. Flowers white; summer. Fruit roundish, 4-5.5 cm long, warty but not prominently beaked.
