Grevillea thelemanniana Endl.

Variable, generally spreading shrub to about 1 m tall, sometimes prostrate. Leaves to about 2 cm long, simple and linear or divided 2-3 times into up to 5 forwardpointing, linear lobes to 1-2 mm wide, silky below. Flower clusters erect or hanging, unbranched, 1-sided, mostly within the foliage. Flowers pink with a cream tip, hairless outside, hairy inside; winter to spring. Style red, with a green tip. Fruit ribbed and wrinkled.

A highly variable taxon with many horticultural selections.

G. thelemanniana Endl. subsp. obtusifolia,which is also treated as G. obtusifolia Meisn., is sometimes available as the cultivar 'Gingin Gem', which is a low groundcover with narrow green leaves.
