Shrub to 4 m or so tall. Leaves entire, lanceolate to elliptic, to 15 cm or so long, 3 cm wide, soft, margins wavy. Flower clusters few-flowered. Flowers changing from green to blue-grey then transparent cream, hairless outside; spring. Style reddish to mauve. Fruit hairless.
