Low, spreading shrub with reddish hairy new growth. Leaves to about 10 cm long, 7 cm wide, with mostly 5-9 deeply cut lobes having pungent pointed tips, occasionally entire. Flowers in conspicuous clusters, dark pink, hairy; spring to autumn.
A natural hybrid, G. acanthifolia × G. laurifolia, from the Blue Mtns sandstone region.
