Shrub to about 1.5 m tall. Leaves linear to narrowly oblong or elliptic-obovate, margins entire, lower surface hairy. Flower clusters cylindrical to almost ovoid and with up to 20 flowers. Flowers orange to greenish, rusty-hairy outside, bearded inside above the middle. Fruit hairy, without stripes or blotches.
