Shrub to 2 m tall. Leaves to about 30 cm long, tough, divided 1 or 2 times into long, narrow, linear, hairy segments,margins curled under. Flower clusters large, more or less 1-sided, protruding from the foliage on long, thick branches. Flowers green becoming golden yellow, few hairs outside, hairless inside; year round, mainly spring. Style green to yellow. Fruit hairy.
