Straggling ground cover shrub to about 0.5 m tall. Leaves ovate with small teeth along the margin, lower surface hairy. Flower clusters terminal, erect or bent over, more or less 1-sided. Flowers green, becoming pink, hairy outside, hairless inside; spring. Style green to pink, giving flowers a bicolored appearance. Fruits hairy, with longitudinal stripes and ridges.
