Red Silky Oak

Variable shrub or small tree to 3 m or more tall. Leaves deeply pinnate, to about 14 cm long. Flowers in cylindrical spikes, red or occasionally cream. Style cream to reddish. Fruits hairy.

Widely grown. Forms are available that are shiny-leaved, prostrate or with various flower colour variations.
