Rusty Pods

Erect shrub to 3 m tall. New growth grey-hairy. Leaves linear to lanceolate or narrow-elliptic, 3-8 cm long, 2-8 mm wide, curled upwards but with the margins bent under. Flowers 1-3 together. Standard blue, veined and with yellow base; spring. Fruit pod roundish,1-1.5 cm long, rusty-haired.

A highly variable species.
