Cytisus multiflorus (Aiton) Sw.

White Spanish Broom

Erect shrub to 3 m tall with ribbed stems. Leaves of 3 leaflets on lower part of stems, 1 leaflet higher up, to 12 mm long, 4 mm wide. Flowers 1-3 per cluster. Corolla less than 1.5 cm long, white. Fruit pods 3-6-seeded, cf. Chamaecytisus albus (Hacq.) Rothm. Syn. Cytisus albus Link.

SW Europe. Naturalised in 2 infestations in Vic near watercourses. Similar to C. scoparius but with fewer seeds and smaller white flowers.
