Shrub to about 2 m tall bearing a strong resemblance to the C. scoparius parent. Leaves with 3 hairy leaflets. Flowers about 1.5 cm long, with pink petals, the wings crimson. A hybrid, C. multiflorus × C. scoparius f. andreanus (seed parent), raised at the Royal Bot. Gds, Kew, uk, in 1900.

A hybrid that may easily be mistaken for one of its parents.
