Pyracantha angustifolia (Franch.) Schneid.

Dense, roundish shrub to 5 m tall, rarely prostrate. Leaves clustered on the short lateral shoots, oblong-lanceolate, mostly 2-5 cm long, 4-10 mm wide, margin entire but sometimes with a few teeth at the tip, slightly rolled under, the lower surface with a dense felt of whitish hair. Flowers with calyx white-hairy; late spring to early summer. Fruit to 8-10 mm wide, yellow at first but becoming glossy orange; autumn to winter.

W China, Naturalised in NSW on the C Coast, N Tablelands and NW Slopes.

A distinctive species with mostly narrow, entire leaves with a felty lower surface.
