Foamflower

Sometimes stoloniferous herb with stems to about 30 cm tall. Leaves ovate, cordate, to about 10 cm long with toothed or 3-5-lobed margins, the colour often purple-red and the stalks to about 10 cm long. Flowers with petals 4-8 mm long, white, occasionally reddish; late spring to early summer. Fruit a capsule, 0.5-1 cm long.

T. wherryi Lakela is not stoloniferous.

E North America.
