Saxifraga ×apiculata Engl.

LEAVES about 1 cm long in tight, slightly frosted cushions. FLOWERS 10-12 together, yellow. (S. marginata × S. sancta).

Saxifraga ×apiculata 'Gregor Mendel'

Forming large glossy mats 40-60 cm wide. Flowers in groups of 10-12, pale yellow, on stalks about 5 cm long. Raised by Karl Foerster in 1894 at the Bot. Garden of Berlin.
