Bushy, hairy, stoloniferous perennial to 1.5 m tall. Leaves opposite or in whorls, lanceolate to elliptic, to about 9 cm long, gland-dotted. Flowers yellow in leafy clusters. Sepals with a dark margin.

Rarely found as a naturalised plant in wet places in Victoria and New South Wales.
