Semi-prostrate shrub with reddish stems. Leaves to about 2 cm long and 0.5 cm wide, lanceolate to oblanceolate. Flowers cream to green, pinkish or red; winter to spring. Floral tube to 1.5 cm long. Fruit ovoid, 5-ribbed.

Grows naturally in sandy soils mostly in scrub and dry sclerophyll forest.
