Erect or spreading shrub up to 2 m tall. Branchlets long-haired with prominent leaf scars. Leaves ovate to about 1.5 cm long, thin, tip long-pointed, base rounded to heart-shaped. Flowers along the branchlets, eventually hanging; year-round but mostly in summer. Flower tube red with white lobes, mostly 1.5-2.5 cm long.
