Annual herb. Flowers with erect non-saccate sepals; petals absent or with an elongated base. Fruit a notched and ridged silicula; seeds in 2 rows.

5 temperate to subtropical species, one is a cosmopolitan weed widespread in Australia in disturbed soils and gardens.
