Western Dog Violet

A carpeting often short-stemmed plant. Leaves small, heart-shaped to 4 cm long. Flowers in spring to about 8 cm tall, deep violet, unscented; spring.

North America

Grows naturally in moist forests and meadows and considered closely related to the European V. riviniana.
