Phymosia umbellata (Cav.) Kearney

Large shrub to 5 m or more tall. Young shoots densely hairy with a pale yellow felt. Leaves 6-15 cm wide, roundish to ovate in outline with 5 shallow lobes, slightly rough above, softly yellow-hairy and felty below. Flowers mostly autumn. Epicalyx of 3 free, rounded segments about half the length of the 5 fused sepals. Staminal column not protruding.
